Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 8, 2026
Applies to: taxinfo.solutions and all pages published under that domain.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use TaxInfo Solutions, how it is used, and what choices you have. We have written this in plain language because we believe you should understand it without needing a lawyer.
1. Who We Are
TaxInfo Solutions is an independent editorial publication focused on Cyprus tax information. We are not a data company, a financial services firm, or a software platform. We publish articles, briefings, and calculator tools to help individuals, payroll teams, and business operators understand Cyprus tax rules for 2026.
Editorial contact: info@taxinfo.solutions
2. Calculator Inputs: No Data Collected
The salary calculator and business profit estimator on this site operate entirely on your device using client-side JavaScript. This means:
- The salary, income, or profit figures you type are processed locally in your browser.
- No financial inputs are sent to our servers, stored in a database, or accessible to us.
- When you close the browser tab or navigate away, the data is gone — it is never retained.
We designed the calculators this way deliberately. A tax information site should not hold your financial details, and ours does not.
3. Information Collected Automatically
Like all websites, TaxInfo Solutions collects some technical information automatically when you visit. This is standard infrastructure behaviour, not active data collection by our editorial team.
Hosting and Infrastructure Logs
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages and served via Cloudflare's content delivery network. These services may log standard request data including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited with timestamps. This data is retained by the infrastructure provider for security and performance purposes and is subject to their own privacy policies. We do not have routine access to individual log entries and do not use this data to identify you personally.
Service Worker and Caching
This site uses a service worker for performance caching (PWA functionality). The service worker caches static assets such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files locally on your device so that pages load faster. No personal data is stored by the service worker.
4. Cookies
We do not set first-party cookies for tracking, analytics, or personalisation. However, the following third-party services used on this site may set cookies:
Cloudflare Infrastructure Cookies
Cloudflare may set the cookie _cf_bm to identify and manage bot traffic. This is a security cookie that expires within 30 minutes of inactivity. It does not track you personally across the web.
Google AdSense and Advertising Cookies
Selected editorial and reference pages on this site display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies, use local storage, read device identifiers, process IP addresses, and use similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, limit frequency, and support ad personalisation where permitted.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, AdSense advertising should be served only with a Google-certified consent management platform configured for this domain. That consent message is expected to explain the ad technology providers involved and allow you to accept, reject, or manage advertising choices where required by law.
Advertising does not influence our editorial topics, source selection, conclusions, calculators, or page rankings. We do not accept sponsored editorial placements or paid rankings.
You can review and control Google's use of your data through the following resources:
- How Google uses cookies in advertising
- Google Ad Settings — opt out or customise your preferences
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
For more information about how we use cookies specifically, see our Cookie Policy.
5. Google Fonts
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google's servers receive your IP address and browser information as part of the standard HTTP request. Google may log this for diagnostic and security purposes. We do not control this data exchange. If you prefer to prevent Google Fonts requests, you can block them using browser privacy extensions.
6. Analytics and Advertising Measurement
TaxInfo Solutions does not currently use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any other standalone visitor analytics platform. We do not run our own analytics profile of individual page views, session duration, or user journeys.
Google AdSense may still perform ad measurement, fraud prevention, frequency capping, reporting, and revenue accounting on pages where ads are enabled. Those activities are controlled by Google and its advertising technology partners, subject to the consent choices and legal settings applicable to your location.
7. External Links
Our briefings and source panels contain links to official government websites, Ministry of Finance publications, Tax For All notices, and other external resources. When you click an external link, you leave taxinfo.solutions and the privacy practices of the destination site apply. We are not responsible for the data practices of linked sites, including official government portals.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults engaged in professional, business, or personal tax planning. It is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
9. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal data directly, we have no personal data to retain or delete. Infrastructure log data held by Cloudflare and GitHub Pages is subject to those providers' respective retention policies.
10. Your Rights
If you believe we hold any personal data about you (for example, if you have contacted us by email), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of that data by contacting info@taxinfo.solutions. We will respond within 30 days. Email correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to resolve the enquiry and is not shared with third parties.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the services we use. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We recommend checking this page periodically if you use the site regularly.
